The Girls' Gifts

For Christmas, we decided to build the girls their gifts (Ben wants a race track--we're not going to build that!). Well, Dan did the building and staining while I did the painting. Lydia really wanted a diaper changing table for her babies.
And for Ellen, Dan built a dollhouse. She picked out the colors, and the fabric that will become curtains, etc. We have yet to finish the furniture and draperies, but it turned out pretty cute. She is quite pleased with it, especially since she "customized" the colors and all. It has three floors and a working elevator. The bedroom and family room are carpeted, the bathroom and kitchen have linoleum, and the dining room has wood floors. I'm ready to move in!

Of course, all this turned out to be a good excuse for Daddy to get a new tool! I think he had the most fun playing--I mean working- in his shop! He did an awesome job, don't you think?

My heart is so smiling at your pictures..and most of all of the gifts you created for your girls out of Love...they will truly be gifts that forever touch their memories..and they will one day tell they girls about....who knows Grandpa Dan may just be building those again one day :D There is nothing that is better than a gift made with LOVE...! I hope your Christmas was filled with All things good...and that God blessed you with many Ta-Da moments! Sweet blessings!
